The Commodore Ballroom- Vancouver, BC
Last night at the Commodore Ballroom The Beat 94.5 threw a company to rush off the first official day of summer that included performances from KardinalOffishall, Fefe Dobson, Shawn Desman, JRDN
and Alyssa Reid.
JRDN made all the girls scream from the moment he stepped on stage, with his sexy lyrics and dance moves and all-out charm.
As a still relatively new artist out there, however, JRDN proved that hes more than just good looking to the ladies; he actually is the total package. Performing tracks like Like Magic, You Can Receive It All, Come Come and I Dont Care, the ladies were struck by the end of his performance, the gentlemen were wishing they were him, and everyone was remaining in anticipation waiting for more.
The highlight performances of the evening were of course Fefe Dobson and Shawn Desman.
Fefe Dobson has a large stage presence. Fefe shows so much emotion in each lead that it is difficult to not get caught up in each feeling. From her oldie but goodie track Bye Bye Boyfriend, to Ghost, Stutter, Cant Breathe, Joy and See Me Move, Fefe portrayed a confident woman who embodies what girl power should actually be about.
Shawn Desman has ever had that crazy sex appeal that has had him more of a hit with the ladies than the gentlemen. Tonight was no different. Guys were scattered throughout the crowd, but it was unquestionably a ladies-night-out, especially when the clock struck twelve and the Commodore started to make out due to the fact that it was a Tuesday night. Shawn Desman covered his full catalogue well, beginning with some remixed tracks showcasing short versions of all of his hits. Fans happily sang and danced along to Shook, Shiver, Night Like This, and Lets Go. With dance moves as hot as ever, none of the ladies were left disappointed as Desman took over the leg and gave it his all.
